Dragon Pyrography Game Shield Screen
This piece took some time. My son said to me one day “I’ve seen these lovely Dungeon Master Game Shields. Is there any chance you could make me one for Christmas?”. So, this is my first attempt three framed and inlaid beach boards each engraved with a Pyrography dragon. The boards also had magnetic hinges so they could come apart into three pieces and go in my sons back pack. The insides contained magnetic white boards and drop-in slots for rule cards etc for the games.

Burnt Edge and Pyrography Bowls
These are quite interesting to make. Sometimes very plain wood that has few distinctive features can be brought to life by embellishment of the outer edge using pyrography brands or by gently burning the rim with a blow torch before sanding and polishing. The effect can be quite beautiful almost adding a tigger stripe effect to the rim. However, this takes a lot of patience and care as too much heat will cause the rim to crack.
