Spalted Beech T-Light Candle Holder
A small but very beautiful Spalted Beech Candle T-Light holder. The spalting colours on this piece are very vivid racing up the sides and across the top. A brass insert finishes the piece off nicely for scented and coloured T-Light candles. Spalting is an ingress of moisture and fungi into the dead tree. Properly dried it forms beautiful black veins and marks in the wood. These are difficult pieces to turn as the wood is often sold and frays so the great skill is required to get a smooth finish
